Services for Visitors with Mobility Impairments:

China Institute facilities are wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair accessible ramp can be put in place at the front entrance by contacting the receptionist, or calling 212-744-8181 ext. 136 or by email at access@chinainstitute.org. A wheelchair to assist you during your visit is available to borrow free of charge. It is advisable to reserve in advance by calling 212-744-8181 ext. 136 or by email at access@chinainstitute.org.

Services for Visitors who are deaf or Hard of Hearing:

American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters are available to accompany scheduled docent led group tours of Gallery exhibitions. To schedule please call 212-744-8181 ext. 147 or email galleryassist@chinainstitute.org.

Services for Visitors who are Blind or Partially Sighted:

Verbal description guided tours are available to groups through our Discover China Through Art program. Tours must be booked in advance by calling 212-744-8181 ext. 147 or by email at galleryassist@chinainstitute.org.

Large Print Didactics for exhibitions are available to borrow at the reception desk. Book lights are also available.
