CHINA SURVEY: POETRY AND LITERATURE
This survey explores China’s rich literary history which dates back over 2000 years
with the Book of Songs--the foundation of Chinese literary culture. Works by famous poets
such as Du Fu, Li Bai, and less known but equally great poets are introduced. The worlds of
literature and culture during the dawning years of the Qing Dynasty--around the 18th
century--are also discussed.
