美国纽约华美协进社社长贺志明先生访问我校

(校长陈群会见美国纽约华美协进社社长贺志明(James B. Heimowitz)先生) 7月21日下午,校长陈群会见了来访的美国纽约华美协进社社长兼总裁贺志明(James B. Heimowitz)。华美协进社孔子学院中方院长周晓霞及国际交流处工作人员陪同会见。 会谈中,陈群对贺志明先生的到访表示热烈欢迎,并高度肯定了华美协进社孔子学院在华东师范大学国际化进程中所占据的重要地位。贺志明先生也向华东师范大学对华美协进社的一贯支持表示感谢。 (贺志明看望华美协进社的学员们) 随后,双方就华美协进社成立九十周年庆祝活动、校友会建立、孔子学院发展及深化合作等问题展开讨论,在以教育为本,发挥优势,合理利用资源等问题上达成高度一致。贺志明先生认为华东师范大学与华美协进社的合作一直富有成效,特别是在教育文化氛围的构建、互通与融合方面做得非常好。同时,贺志明先生在留学生育才项目、孔子学院工作等方面提出了自己的建议与想法。陈群表示,华东师范大学希望与华美协进社建立更好的合作伙伴关系,共建更好的孔子学院。 会后,贺志明先生前往国际汉语教师研修基地看望了正在接受培训的华美协进社的学员们。他回忆了六十年代自己在北京的求学经历,感谢学员们将汉语国际推广作为自己的事业。他表示,这是一份以语言为工具、以文化为载体,能拉近两国距离,从而展现更好的中国和更美的汉文化的崇高事业。 (贺志明看望正在接受培训的华美协进社的学员们)

Join Now! 上海市八卦掌协会会长王翰之、上海市八卦掌协会、上海东方广播中心吴舜一行4月23日在华美协进社孔子学院的安排下访问了纽约布朗士科学高中( Bronx High School of Science),在该校进行了八卦掌演示,并与学生进行了互动。布朗士科技高中副校长、华美协进社孔子学院中方院长以及布朗士科技高中师生近百人参加了此次活动。 在上海东方广播中心《中华武魂》节目主持人吴舜的背景介绍中,宫廷八卦掌第五代掌门人、75岁高龄的王翰之老先生当场舞起八卦剑,又表演了游身连环掌,他和弟子的八卦掌对练引发了学生们的频频赞叹和掌声。学生们纷纷举起手中的手机进行摄像和拍照,更有学生戏言要把与王翰之先生的合影放在网上拍卖。活动最后,学生们纷纷表示希望以后能在学校看到更多这样精彩的中国文化演示。 纽约布朗士科学高中是纽约三大著名高中之一,孕育了八位诺贝尔奖得主。上世纪八十年代开设了中文课程。 此次上海市八卦掌协会和上海东方广播中心到访纽约主要是来参加在纽约联合国总部举行的2016年“联合国中文日”庆祝活动。 在此期间,该代表团一行还专程访问了华美协进社和华美协进社孔子学院。华美协进社由胡适、杜威等中美有识之士倡导下于1926年成立,是美国最早专注中美交流的文化机构,其孔子学院也是纽约市最早成立的孔院。 华美协进社孔子学院供稿
