The Forbidden City turns 600 this year, and so China Institute is celebrating with a series of programs for all ages. Join us for a fun, interactive program to learn about the lives of the emperor and his imperial court. An animated video will illustrate the emperors’ daily life and responsibilities. By playing a game, kids will experience the pros and cons of having power. A fun writing activity will help participants explore what it means to be a good leader (and good person). Our dynamic teacher will take kids on a fun journey, to imagine what they would do if they were emperor—and perhaps even realize that an emperor’s life was not as easy as we might think.
These workshops are tied to China Institute’s ongoing educational program We All Live in the Forbidden City. For more information about this program visit https://www.chinainstitute.org/school/walfc/.
This workshop is suitable for ages 5 and up. The workshops will take place over Zoom. Participants will receive the log-in information for the workshops after registering.
