From the deadly serious to the gleefully absurd, from the disquieting to the freaky, the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) at Lincoln Center celebrates the most vibrant and provocative cinema out of Asia today. This year’s program, dubbed the “Still Too Young to Die” edition, includes forty films that will be screening in New York for the first time, showcasing films that reflect on contemporary society while offering extreme genre pleasures.
This summer, China Institute and the Confucius Institute @ China Institute are proud to partner with NYAFF to help support the festival’s complete slate of 11 films from China. This summer marks the festival’s 18th year in New York and will showcase the most exciting comedies, dramas, thrillers, romances, horrors and arthouse films from East Asia.
