Originated in China more than four thousand years ago, Go (围棋Wéiqí) is one of the four supreme artistic genres in Chinese culture, with the other three being Zither playing, Calligraphy, and Painting. Throughout its long history, there has never been a single duplicate game like Go. As the oldest game still played in its original form, Go is popular among men and women at all ages. Go is a mind sport, possessing simple rules yet endless strategies. It requires a unique integration and working of analytic (left brain) and artistic (right brain) mental abilities at the same time.
