Since 1984, China Institute has bestowed its Blue Cloud award to notable figures who share our mission and values at this signature, annual black-tie event occurring in late September / October.

A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Ezra Vogel.

Join ‘One World in Beauty’ benefit Gala for the most glamorous night online as we honor the dazzling diversity of Chinese fashion and culture. At this year’s event we are thrilled to be saluting the global prestige beauty brand Estée Lauder; fashion designer and opinion leader Phillip Lim; actress, director, artist, and activist Lucy Liu; and Chinese investor, entrepreneur and philanthropist Wendy Yu.
Also featuring a Heaven Gaia fashion show, with designer Xiong Ying, and a special performance of the legendary Thousand Hand Bodhisattva dance!
